Several cockroaches were in the bed when we went to sleep, and the building courtyard was infested too. By 3 a.m. it was unbearable, so we had to leave the apartment. The owners then refused to refund the full cost of the night we lost. A terrible experience, unless sleeping with cockroaches is what you’re after.
It was really cold in the apartment, and ants had taken over. At night the neighbor made an extreme amount of noise. The boiler only had enough hot water for one shower.
The owner was fantastic. I called her about a few things we needed, and she brought them right away. The apartment was super comfortable, and we loved having breakfast on the terrace with those amazing views. The girls were thrilled, and so was I. It was a breeze! For my first time renting on my own with my girls, it turned out to be a really good choice and a great experience.
Once you're inside, the apartment is actually quite good: modern, cozy, well equipped, and in a handy area for getting around. Getting through the entrance is another matter. It feels like an escape room with a junkie vibe, and you expect some addict to jump out from a corner at any moment. Pretty scary, though it does turn into a real adventure.
