Apartamento Loft El Cuarton

We were very cold in the apartment, and the damp was hard to live with. Towels stayed wet all week, clothes in the dressing room were too damp to wear without ironing, and we even found two slugs inside despite keeping the doors and windows shut. There’s no heating, just a gas heater, and with the open layout it couldn’t keep the place comfortable. It didn’t work for the long stretches indoors we needed, or for working: the complex had frequent brief power cuts that interrupted our internet. The owner has fiber internet and replied quickly on WhatsApp, but only mentioned the outages after we told him the breaker had tripped while we were just watching TV. I’m from Algeciras and know people from Tarifa town, and they’ve never told me about power cuts happening that often. We don’t get them in Algeciras, 14 minutes from El Cuartón, either, and our homes aren’t that cold in winter. Since we’d said we planned to work there, the owner could have warned us. Best regards. The apartment might be lovely in summer, or if you only need it as a place to sleep. It’s well placed between Algeciras and Tarifa, in a quiet, well-kept complex with some of the easiest access around, whether you’re coming from Cádiz or Málaga. It’s fully furnished and equipped, the bed is comfortable, and the bathroom is very spacious. A few things need fixing, though, including a nearly broken kitchen faucet and a sofa you can sit on for about ten minutes. We were there to work, and those connection interruptions made that impossible.

The Strait views are gorgeous, and the development feels like a little paradise in the middle of nature. Such a cozy, beautiful place to unwind, and really comfortable too. 100% lovely.
