Apartamentos Trajano

We only decided to come to Bolonia at the last minute and booked this apartment half an hour before getting there. Carlos and his wife welcomed us warmly and were such a lovely, helpful couple, always attentive to what we needed. The place was spotless, from the sheets and towels, which smelled lovely, to everything else. It had all we needed, plus a nice terrace where we could relax. The beach is a two minute walk away, and there are beach bars and good restaurants nearby, with Tarifa and Zahara de los Atunes also close. We enjoyed our stay so much and will stay here again when we return to Bolonia. Thanks for everything.

The surroundings were beautiful, with a peaceful spot right by the beach. The place itself is simple and basic, but nice and clean. I can't give it more stars because we'd agreed with the owner that we'd get a room with a double bed, but were assigned one with two beds instead. With a baby, we had to manage awkwardly to keep the baby on the bed without falling. There's also a long, quite steep flight of stairs, which isn't easy when carrying a baby. If I'd known about both issues, I'd have looked for somewhere more accessible and comfortable.

The studio was small, with only the basics, and the location was exceptionally quiet. But there were serious maintenance problems: the blinds jammed whenever we tried to raise them, and the microwave jammed after very little use. Worst of all, ants kept appearing everywhere, on our clothes, the bed and furniture, and across the counters and walls. The owners quickly gave us insecticide, but the ants came back, leaving us uneasy and disgusted. Knowing they were moving between the sheets made it impossible to sleep peacefully. It was unbearable.

The location made it easy to walk to the beach, and Carlos was friendly and attentive the whole week. Our apartment was very clean, had everything we needed, and also came with air conditioning. We had a great stay and would happily return.
