When I became very ill during our stay, the hotel arranged for a doctor to see me within ten minutes. I needed emergency surgery at a local hospital, and the team was incredibly helpful. When I returned, there were gorgeous flowers in my room. Such a kind, thoughtful surprise after a tough few days. This was our second stay. It’s a beautiful hotel, the staff are lovely, and the location is perfect. I can’t recommend it enough, and we’ll be back.

We’ve visited Tarifa many times, but this was our first stay in these apartments. They’re lovely, with amazing views. It’s a quiet part of the old town, close to all the nice restaurants and bars.

My kids loved the wooden toy set in the room, and the place felt very family friendly. The rooftop views are beautiful, and this time we got to use the heated pool. We liked our first stay so much that we’ve now stayed twice. The room was a little musty and could have been cleaned better, if I’m being picky. Street parking is limited, and the lot costs €10 a day. Please note there’s another property owned by the same company with an almost identical name, closer to the port. I can see how the two could get mixed up.

Four nights in March wasn’t long enough. We had a spacious, bright superior apartment on the first floor with a sea view, looking across to Africa. There were three balcony seating areas where we could sit and watch the world go by. It’s in a quiet part of town but just a short walk from the shopping area. Plenty of bars, restaurants and supermarkets are nearby, plus a great little takeaway pizza place. The apartment had everything we needed, the staff were friendly, and Tarifa itself is charming, a hidden gem. We own a holiday cottage in the UK, so we know how much thought and care has gone into making these apartments special. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend La Residencia Tarifa. We enjoyed the trip so much that we’ll be back. Visit before it gets too trendy!

We really enjoyed our stay. They were so accommodating with us and our five-month-old, providing both a crib and a baby bath. When we had a small issue with the room, they went above and beyond to get it fixed.
