The double room with sea view was lovely, clean and comfortable, and had an amazing view along with lots of nice little touches. The staff were kind and helpful, and we had a great time. The one thing to flag is accessibility, as I didn’t see an elevator.

I booked one night before catching the ferry to Morocco, then quickly added two more. Both times, the gentleman at the desk made things easy, and check-in was a breeze. I’ve traveled in Europe as an adult for the first time on this trip, and stepping onto the balcony, with the town below, the strait and Morocco in view, honestly brought me to tears. The room was a good size, the bed was comfortable, and the balcony view was breathtaking. The white linens caught the sunlight through the sliding glass door. The decor had just the right feel, the bathroom was very modern, and extra towels were ready. There was even a mini-fridge, which was a welcome surprise. Getting around on foot was easy: the port, old town, beach and historic fort are all nearby. The main surfing area is a four to five minute drive away, and the place I went drove me there. I’d hoped to try a kitesurfing school, but the first one I called was too expensive for me. Back at the hostel, staff pointed me toward another school with much better prices. I’ll review them too, since the instructor was spot on and the equipment was in great shape. I really can’t say enough good things about this place. What a gem.

Small and charming, and spotlessly clean, this place sits at the edge of the old town, within walking distance of the port and beaches. It was fantastic value. Booking was easy, and check-in was straightforward. The email confirmation included directions and details for secure local parking. Staff were friendly and professional. We booked two nights, then extended to three. I’d definitely stay again.

The hotel was quiet and well equipped, with a shared microwave that came in handy for making dinner while traveling. Its location is great, just steps from the entrance to Tarifa’s old Medina, which was lovely to wander around. We enjoyed swimming in the Mediterranean one minute and the Atlantic the next, with the excitement of seeing North Africa only a few miles away. Really nice!
