At Kite Hostel Tarifa, it was easy to meet other kitesurfers and swap stories in the common areas, or just relax after a session. The hostel is clean and well organized, and it’s a short walk to the beach, old town, and kite spots. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the welcoming atmosphere made me feel part of a little family from the moment I arrived. Whether you’re new to kiting or more experienced, it’s a great fit for the kite lifestyle. I’ll be back for sure!

Thanks again for all the help. I’d already booked a hotel, so I didn’t sleep here, but everyone was so nice, especially Demian, who’s the MAN. He helped me book a taxi, store my stuff, and with plenty more. Hope to see you guys soon.

The location was the one real plus during my recent stay at this Tarifa hostel. It was somewhat clean, but the rooms barely had any ventilation and felt stuffy and uncomfortable. The showers had such low water pressure that freshening up after a day out was difficult. I was quite disappointed, and there are better choices in Tarifa. I’d only suggest staying here if you have no other options.

The equipment is new, and the staff are nice. Mariano is the best instructor! The facilities also look quite good for anyone wanting accommodation.

I stayed five days and could easily have stayed much longer. The hostel is great for getting work done, with fantastic indoor and outdoor common spaces, a lovely kitchen when it’s open, and consistently fast WiFi. The property and location are amazing, the atmosphere is great for meeting people, and the staff were really nice. Beds have curtains for extra privacy. Bathrooms are set up as rooms, each with one shower and one toilet, which makes getting ready more comfortable and easier. The main things that brought this down to four stars were the payment rules: they only accept cash, or add a 10% surcharge for card, which I find particularly annoying and have never encountered at another hostel in Spain. You also can’t bring in your own alcohol and are required to buy it from their bar. Kitchen hours are strange, with no cooking before 9am or between 3.30pm and 7pm, an absurd rule I can’t understand. There’s no oven, though that’s a minor issue since the kitchen is otherwise a pleasure to use. Laundry costs 5 euro per load, and they charge for storing luggage after checkout. I’d be happy to stay again, and I think people would enjoy it if they can live with those annoyances.
