The Riad - Adults Only

We were pleasantly surprised to find a free minibar and continental breakfast, since neither was mentioned when we booked through booking.com. The staff were welcoming and accommodating, and the hotel is beautifully decorated, with a calm atmosphere. We were in the junior suite beside the stairs and main reception but hardly heard any noise. The one drawback was the room itself. Its two windows looked onto the internal atrium and public seating area, so we couldn’t really open them for daylight or fresh air without other guests or staff passing by. That was a little disappointing, though we stayed just one night and it didn’t spoil the visit. I wanted to give it 4.75, but couldn’t, so I settled on 5. We’d stay again if we return to Tarifa. It’s a great place in a great location, and please consider my true score of 4.75 when deciding whether to book.

The Riad is beautiful, in Maroccon style, and we spent two nights there. Rafael, our host, was very nice and helpful, and gave us tips along with a map of hotspots in Tarifa. For a lovely breakfast or lunch and coffee, you can go to Bossa.

We'd absolutely come back, and I can't recommend it enough. The breakfast was delicious and the staff were the loveliest. The rooms were amazing, with natural light, and there was a beautiful shared room for reading or relaxing. You could hear the waterfall/pool too. It was the highlight of our trip!

The location made getting around easy. It’s about a five-minute walk to the paid parking area, and from there restaurants, shops and the beach are all within walking distance. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, with great suggestions for restaurants and excursions, and we felt looked after throughout. We were very pleased with the Junior Suite on the second floor. It was just the right size for two, with modern furnishings that still felt cozy, and enough room to leave our suitcases open without making it cramped. Breakfast was a nice surprise since we hadn’t realized it was included. We only had it once, but it had everything needed to start the day. The only small hassle was that water collected in front of the sink after showering, so we had to mop it up with a towel. It didn’t affect our stay. We were more than satisfied and would happily return.
