For a short city trip, Hostal Europa is an okay option for the price. The rooms are simple, but comfortable and clean, and the friendly staff at the 24-hour reception on the first floor speak a little English, which was enough. It’s fairly central and near the station, though there’s usually some noise outside. You can walk to both the beach and the historical sites.

I don’t recommend this place. Guests drink heavily, use forbidden substances, and make a lot of noise at night. The locals seem unsure what to do, and you may wake to police sirens, including after someone is stabbed in the supermarket next to the hotel.

The bed was rock hard, and I woke up with bad back pain both mornings. I’m 23 and that kind of thing usually doesn’t bother me. The staff were friendly, the air conditioning was good, and the Wi-Fi worked well, but cleanliness could be better.

I booked another property for the rest of my stay after this. The room was supposed to have air conditioning, but it didn’t, and it felt like 50 degrees inside. I was soaked with sweat within two minutes. When I raised it, the staff were rude and just said I could leave if I wanted. It ruined the vacation and was the worst experience.

Very bad. They don’t even give you an invoice for your stay, or mention the room number where you stayed. After a lot of hassle and insisting on an invoice, factura, or justification, they sent one on WhatsApp, but the information was completely wrong: the database name, surname, number of nights, and payment details were all incorrect. Such an embarrassing place, one of the worst experiences of my life.
