On the hottest day of the year, the fan broke in our room, which had no air conditioning. We had to ask twice to get it changed, and the staff rolled their eyes and shared in-jokes with a Spanish couple while supposedly helping us. There wasn’t even soap in the bathroom. The staff were the most unfriendly and inhospitable I’ve ever encountered. It might almost have been funny if we hadn’t paid so much, like Faulty Towers with bitter old ladies spending most of their time outside smoking.

A lovely spot to have a beer, grab a bocodillo, and unwind with locals. The service was welcoming and friendly.

The location is good and there’s a nice view from the window, but that’s about all I liked. No one there speaks English, the bathroom smelled horrible, and the tiny room smelled too. The bed was uncomfortable, and the reception is actually a strange coffee shop. We cancelled after one night and moved to another hotel.

We had a very pleasant stay, and thanks to Mark for it. Room 15 had fantastic views over the square. The room was basic but clean and functional, and the beds were comfortable. Check-in was straightforward. Being so central meant some noise outside on Saturday night, which is to be expected.

After walking around the tourist areas of this incredible historic city center, this place felt like a real oasis. We stopped in for lunch on 15th Aug on a very hot day. The atmosphere was wonderful, with great air conditioning and music, and the food was excellent, especially the real homemade French fries. Service was good once we got chatting with the waitress. Great value for money, definitely recommend.
