Vive Tarragona

We spent a week there and were really pleased with the service, the perfect accommodation, and the nice kitchen!

The room was large, with its own bathroom, and the bed was very comfortable. Everything in the accommodation feels brand new and was VERY CLEAN. We also appreciated the little touches: coffee capsules for breakfast, muffins, toast with jam, and a bottle of water. There's a shared area for breakfast or making meals, with a fridge and all the comforts you'd have at home. It had air conditioning for heating and cooling, but the temperature was pleasant enough that we didn't need it. We'll definitely come back! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

It's very affordable, and everything feels new and super clean. The shared kitchen is modern and fully equipped, which is a big plus. The beds are incredibly comfortable, and you sleep like a log. There's air conditioning as well. The place feels in the middle of nowhere but is close to everything. If you have a car, parking on the street is easy and free. The only downside is that there are no blinds, just a roller shade, so the room gets quite bright on summer mornings.

We were left stranded, with more than 2,000 km of driving ahead of us to get back to Poland. After a long drive, we had to find somewhere else to stay quickly and pay extra. We'd travelled the whole Spanish coast and stayed in countless places without ever having a problem like this. Hosts elsewhere had been helpful and hospitable, and when we arrived late, they found a way to hand over the keys that worked for both sides. This was a bad way for our time in Spain to end, and we're very sorry about it. I had booked and paid about two weeks before the trip, and the booking was confirmed. On check-in day we were in Valencia when my phone died, so I couldn't contact the host. We got lost in the city, and by the time we reached the parking lot it was around 5:30 or 6:00 p.m. As soon as I got my phone connected, I saw an email asking me to notify them 30 minutes before arrival. I replied right away, saying navigation showed we'd arrive around 8:20-8:40 p.m. They said they were very sorry, but check-in ended at 8:00 p.m. I knew the stated time, but sometimes things happen beyond our control and we hoped for some understanding. After I asked again, I received nearly the same message: the employee would wait only until 8:00, not a minute longer. I suggested they give the keys to someone else or leave them in a locker for us to collect, but they firmly refused that too. Soon after, Airbnb support contacted me about resolving the issue and said the host was asking to cancel. I asked several times if they could wait 30 minutes, just to be human. Airbnb's terms say a 50% refund is possible only for bookings longer than one night. Since ours was for one night, we won't get a refund. They only offered a discount voucher for a future booking, but after this experience I'm not sure we'll use the site again. We've never encountered such "hospitality" or such a complete lack of humanity.
