If you're hoping for a beach resort in an artificial tourist village, Puerto Del Carmen or somewhere similar may suit you better. We wanted somewhere authentic and quiet, and this lovely renovated finca gave us everything we needed, including a nice pool and the kindest hospitality. The different houses are spacious and beautiful, and evenings are peaceful, far from noisy bars and restaurants. You do need a car, though that's a good idea for exploring Lanzarote anyway. This feels like a place where you can get to know the island's soul.
