Hotel HD Beach Resort & SPA

The staff and food more than made up for the buildings and furnishings looking a bit tired, and we still had a great time. The location is excellent. We’ve been told the hotel is due for a full refurbishment in May 22025, with a planned December reopening as an adults-only hotel. We’ll definitely return.

The pool was great, and there was always a spare sunbed. Rooms were spacious and the staff were friendly and helpful. We had a good week at the H10. The food was good, especially the red wine; the white and rosé weren’t as good. Evening entertainment was excellent quality for a hotel, and we really enjoyed the 'cool for cats' 80s music. It’s a 15-minute walk to the square and some nice bars. We’d visit again and recommend the H10.

We had a nice winter-sun holiday in Costa Teguise, despite a number of disappointments. The staff were kind and went out of their way for us. We were celebrating a birthday and they brought us sparkling wine, which was a lovely gesture. The square, with its cute shops, restaurants and bars, is about a 15-minute walk away. We also loved the spa and visited on several days. For €15 per person, you get all-day access to its hot tubs, sauna, steam room, cold showers and lovely pool. The food had little variety and wasn’t kept topped up. Cross-contamination from utensils at the dessert station put us off, and we ate out for several meals despite being all-inclusive. Breakfast was the best buffet meal. We also didn’t like the “Italian restaurant”: there were no vegetarian options, only three main dishes to choose from, and our meal was bland and lacked flavor. The food quality was very poor. Other guests we spoke to felt the same. Our room was outdated and needed refurbishment, and the patio door lock was damaged. The safe cost €19 to use, which seemed especially necessary with a patio door that didn’t lock. The rooms were tidied daily, but towels and bedding were changed only twice during our week. WiFi was really bad, so we had to use our data. Staff told us the hotel’s free WiFi doesn’t work on Apple Phones.

The front-of-house team gave amazing customer service, and every staff member I met was wonderful. We were upgraded to a suite with a beautiful room and a hot tub. The spa was accessible, and the location is close to bars and restaurants. There was lots of food to choose from, though I’d like to see a different theme each night, like Mexican, barbecue or Spanish. The pool bar was good too, with pizza and light bites. I’ll visit again after the refurbishment is complete. Thanks again, Mr S.Rowe.
