Casa Rural Los Garriolos

That terrace is a lovely place to wind down after dinner, with views across the whole village and the mountains. The house itself is beautiful, very clean, and fully equipped, with an outdoor patio and barbecue that worked perfectly for our group or family. From our first contact with the owners, everything went smoothly. A perfect 10!

The owners were warm and easy to reach throughout our stay, and we were even greeted with a typical gift from the house. We often take rural trips, and this was one of our best experiences. The place has lovely area views and a really peaceful feel, just right for a few days away. We noticed the thoughtful touches and appliances, the clean rooms, bathrooms with natural light, and the wooden ceilings. We’ll definitely be back soon!

There’s plenty to see around here, and the house works well for a group of up to 10, whether you’re staying for a weekend or longer. It’s way down in La Mancha, so you get that Don Quixote feeling. The owners are charming, the price is very, very reasonable, and the house has a barbecue, full equipment, and restored antique furnishings.

PARA NO REPETIR. The house is large and basically fine, with a bathroom in each bedroom, but it’s neglected and nowhere near what the website photos show. The terrace furniture was old and dirty. There were no shelves under some bathroom mirrors, and the walls were dirty too. The house was dusty and grimy: when we wiped the dining and kitchen tablecloths, the cloth came away black. Eva, who helped us, said the previous guests had left a month earlier, which seemed to be how long it had gone without a clean. The outdoor fridge had feathers inside, and water sat in the bottom of the dishwasher, probably because its filter was dirty. The dryer listed on the website wasn’t there. The welcome gift was just a bottle of wine, nothing like the website photo. Two days before our stay we were told there was no firewood and nowhere in town sold any, so we brought our own, only to find wood left by previous guests at the house. We’d told them what time we planned to arrive, but still waited over half an hour while the woman who was handing over the keys took a shower. And worst of all, there was no hot water for morning showers. We had to call Eva to press some button, and only after a while would the hot water start running.
