Apartment Barcelona Rentals - Park Güell Apartments

The apartment facilities were good, and the location was quiet, though we needed the metro to reach the attractions. On arrival, we were put in the wrong apartment because of a double booking. They didn't handle the mix-up very well, and we were moved to the apartment we expected after the first night. Not ideal for a three-night stay.

The place didn't look anything like as nice as the pictures, and the promised pool was never available. On top of that, they charged an extra €400 deposit. When we complained about how far reality was from the description, they offered only a 5% discount. Very bad service, not even worth one star. Avoid this place.

They treat their neighbours so badly that I can't imagine how they treat their hosts.

Check-in itself went smoothly, and the apartment was clean. Still, several problems made the stay disappointing. Our airport transfer was late and then broke down on the way. We'd requested a cot several times before arriving, but none was there. It took three more messages to get one delivered the next day. We chose the property partly because it advertised access to a communal pool. The pool was unusable throughout our stay: visibly dirty, with algae and mosquito larvae, and clearly not maintained properly. The maintenance person came only on the day we were leaving, after it had affected the whole stay. More broadly, the property seemed poorly maintained, although it has the potential to be a lovely place with more care and regular upkeep. I also have concerns about getting our security deposit back. The messages we received were polite and apologetic, but the response often came only after we chased things repeatedly. No partial refund was given, despite them then admitting it wasn't up to standard.
