Villa Ermita

We loved the northwest of La Palma. There are so many lovely hikes and excursions nearby, and the area also felt quite safe with regard to volcanic activity. Each evening, weather permitting, brought a breathtaking sunset. The landlady went through everything in the apartment with us when we arrived and was always reachable during our stay. She promptly told us about the volcanic eruption and kept us updated. She even offered to help us rebook our return trip. It was reassuring to have a Spanish-speaking person there to help. We booked through FeWo-direkt. The modern house was incredibly clean, the cleanest I've ever rented. The dishes and everything else were immaculate. The induction hob was excellent, and there was an oven too. We slept well on the firm mattress. We managed fine without air conditioning at the end of September, and we'll come back. The large terrace gets sun from around 10 a.m., with the garden getting it a little earlier. Sometimes it was warm enough that we didn't need direct sun. The awning was great in the afternoon.

The villa is in an excellent location and has very good amenities. The owner was very accommodating. I took off one point because there is no air conditioning.
