The view over the surroundings is great, and the location makes it easy to explore the whole island, with anywhere about a 35-minute drive away. Jorge, the owner, is very friendly. The private cabana was very clean, though the kitchen is shared with the other cabana. One thing to know, the mattress is pretty hard, which wasn’t great for my bad back.

The price for what you get is hard to beat. There are two matching cottages with adequate equipment, and the shared kitchen hut has two kitchens, each with a sink, fridge, and dishes. There’s also a washer and dryer. The setting is quite isolated despite being in the island’s center, so you really need a car to get to “civilization.” I worked from here, and the internet was the main problem. There are plenty of access points and bandwidth, but the connection kept dropping. Weather-wise, we had several fully foggy days while clouds sat over the mountains, even as the west and south were sunny. It also tends to be 3-4 degrees cooler here than in places like Puerto del Carmen.

Jorge and his partner were very friendly, and there are two really affectionate kittens around the property. The cabins are cozy and peaceful, with what you need, including private parking and access to a shared kitchen.
