Casa de la Mezquita

The kids absolutely loved this apartment, and we had a wonderful few days here. It was just like the photos, beautiful and comfortable, in an exceptional location. We couldn’t drive up to it, so we took the owner Covadonga’s advice and left the car at El Miradero parking garage for all four days. It’s a 10-minute walk down the stairs beside the Mosque. 100% recommended, especially with children.

A charming, beautifully decorated house for a weekend away, right in the old town. It has Wi-Fi, and there’s parking nearby, though it has time restrictions and you can’t get to the house by car. There’s only one bathroom, a bit small for six people.

It was comfortable, clean, and tidy, and the two air conditioners should keep things cool in summer. The room could use a little more light. Everything else was fine.

We were two adults and three kids at Carmelitas Descalzos Street 5. Covadonga, the owner, was very friendly and kept us updated. The apartment is well located. Paid parking is a few minutes’ walk away, and we got a discount for staying here, much appreciated in the old town where parking is scarce. The price was affordable. There are two double bedrooms upstairs. One has a chest of drawers, the other has air conditioning and a built-in wardrobe with an ironing board and iron, clothes rack, and clothespins. Downstairs, by the bathroom and kitchen, there’s a little open alcove with a screen and a double bed. The dining area has two air conditioners, Wi-Fi, a TV, a three-seat sofa, a table for six, and a beanbag bed under the stairs. At the entrance, there’s a mirror that’s also a wardrobe with linens and cleaning supplies. The bathroom has a shower, washing machine with detergent, electric water heater, towels, hairdryer, electric clothesline, shower gel, and toilet paper. The kitchen is fully equipped with a microwave, dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker, ceramic hob, cutlery and dishes, cleaning supplies, tablecloths, bucket and mop, and vacuum cleaner.
