Rooms were terrific and very clean, and we found the staff kind. It’s also well located, with a bus stop nearby and the main square about 10 minutes away.

Our second room, room 25 upstairs, was clean and had no bedbugs, though its sheets still had stained spots from earlier bedbug blood. After the first night, we were so exhausted we finally slept from 5:30 to 9 am. We’d spent that night in room 6 fighting bugs around the pillow end of the bed. We killed more than 20, and by 3 am the sheets and pillowcases were spotted with blood, so we went to reception and asked to move. The receptionist was pleasant, apologetic and embarrassed, and arranged the new room. We stayed two nights during Corpus Christi, June 18-20, 2025. At checkout on Friday the 20th, we asked another polite receptionist for a discount on that first awful night, especially since we’d have to fumigate our luggage before bringing it into our home in Spain. She said she’d call the manager. An hour later, when we went to pay, we were told there’d be no discount because we’d used the rooms. They did waive the €36 parking fee. We also asked for assurance that room 6 would be fumigated before another guest stayed there. Only time will tell whether it’s been deep cleaned.

Breakfast was the one weak spot, with not many choices. Otherwise, it’s a good hotel.

The bed was a real comfort after walking up and down hills all day. The sheets were crisp and white, and the room was generally clean, especially the shower. We stayed August 13-16, 2024. We picked this hotel because we could unload bags right outside, and it had basement parking for €15 a day. But leaving the car out front while we unloaded for about 40 minutes earned us a €60 ticket. We should’ve moved the car right away or gone straight into the garage, so the stay didn’t get off to a good start. Later we noticed a scooter traffic officer coming by each day at 5 pm and ticketing non-residential cars parked on the street in front. When we paid the next day, the woman was surprised we’d been ticketed after such a short stop. She said it was almost as if someone at the hotel had told the traffic police. Maybe the charge would make sense if we’d parked there for a day or two. The room was small, and getting into the shower was awkward. In room 16, the bidet was right in the middle of the bathroom, making it tricky to get into the bath past the shower door. It might have fitted better beside the toilet. There were nice little windows for fresh air, though our room had no view, and the air conditioning worked well. At check-in, the receptionist wasn’t very helpful. I wish she’d suggested nearby restaurants, public transport, or routes with less steep hills up to the city centre. We also would’ve liked a kettle for a proper big Americano. Breakfast was offered for €8.50, but we didn’t try it. For us, the price felt high for such a small room and an awkward shower entrance. Not great value.
