A few practical things to know: you can't drive up to this apartment, and the pedestrian lane can be a challenge with heavy luggage or limited mobility. The hosts have arranged a parking discount at the nearest underground garage, though it still gets expensive over a few days. That's a common trade-off in the old city, and the lovely character of the place made it worthwhile for us. The apartment is in a beautiful old building, with great views and thoughtful decor. It was comfortable and had what we needed, including a PlayStation. The only thing we missed was a washing machine.

The welcome from the owners and staff was warm, and check-in and checkout were easy. They also provide detailed instructions in English for the appliances and electronics if you need them. This was my second visit to Toledo, but my first stay with Cason de los Lopez, and the apartment went well beyond what I expected. It was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had all the comforts and supplies we needed.

Michael, the manager, was wonderful and went out of his way to help us. We had a great stay and would recommend it. Cason de Los Lopez is clean and lovely, with a mix of rustic character and newer touches. Everything was provided, so we only needed our clothes and personal belongings. If you want a restful stay surrounded by nature and a chance to feel like you've stepped back in time, Toledo is a place to visit with family or friends.
