Hostal Centro

Amazing value for the price. I was traveling alone and they let me bring my bicycle up to the room. The room was fairly large and air cooled, and checking in after midnight was no problem. The staff were very friendly.

I called ahead to confirm a room was available since I’d be arriving at 1:30 am, then booked directly after they offered a lower price than the listing on booking. The room I was given hadn’t been cleaned. I moved all my things to another floor after they offered a change, only to find that room was the same. I left my belongings at reception and asked again. They showed me two more rooms, and neither was clean. There was hair on the bedsheets, so it looked like they hadn’t been cleaned at all. They offered to clean the room if I did it myself and stayed for less, or I could find another hotel at 2:30 am for double the price. After calling around for an hour, I felt I had no other option and took the more expensive place. I got only a cash refund, but lost time and spent twice as much. There was no apology or proper solution. Definitely don’t recommend it.

The rooms are comfortable and clean, the prices are good, and the staff are friendly and helpful. This little hotel is right in central Toledo, close to restaurants and shops. It isn’t luxurious, but it’s worth the money.

The rooms were spacious and clean, and service was good. You get what you pay for in a hotel in central Toledo. My only problem was the broken shower, which wouldn’t stay mounted on the wall.
