This could have been a beautiful restaurant just outside Toledo, but it only opens in the afternoon as a place to get drinks. Nada mas. Not even tapas.

It had been ages since my last visit, and I’m really glad I came back. The place is so cosy, the atmosphere’s great, and the staff are lovely. I’d say it’s the nicest spot in Toledo for coffee or a drink.

After a long, hot day walking around Toledo, we stumbled across this little place and were glad we did. There’s no advertising, and we approached as if we were stepping into someone’s private home. Inside, the shady courtyard had a fountain and a cooling spray, with detailed Spanish-style decor and ornaments. Drinks were cold and the prices very reasonable. The bar lady was so pleasant and welcoming, offering pickled olives, cured ham, biscottis, and even candy as snacks. Don’t just hope to chance upon this lovely little bar like we did. Seek it out, you’ll love it.
