The hosts were really friendly, and it’s a very nice place.

The rooms and bathrooms were roomy and clean, and the owner was warm and helpful. We spent four days here and were delighted with our stay. There’s a peaceful garden with sun loungers, too. Breakfast is coffee with milk, toast, orange juice, and jam for €2.50, which is great value.

The beds weren’t comfortable, and a few basics were missing, including a shower mat, shampoo, and Wi-Fi in the rooms. Still, for the price, you get a clean place and good service, so I can’t ask for more.

It’s a handy base for getting around: the coast is about ten minutes away, and you can cross into Portugal in five. The furniture in the room is a little old, but the location is good and it’s fine for sleeping. And waking up to roosters is something you don’t get just anywhere.
