We left without eating, so can’t say anything about the food. After days in the Pyrenees, this was the first place that wouldn’t let us come inside with our dog. There’s nothing else there, and if you want something hot after hiking in the snow, you’re expected to leave your dog out in the cold.

The food was excellent, with a good variety to choose from. The rooms were nice, and each dormitory had its own shower and bathroom. This was one of the better refugios I stayed in on my GR11 trek.

The access road was rough, with potholes along 4 km of stone road, but arriving was amazing. The location is stunning, and you can walk straight from the site. Toilets and showers were clean.

I was travelling on my own and felt welcome and safe. Elena and the Team look after guests like family, and the location is brilliant. The food was very, very nice and the service simply the best.
