Hostal Villa Soledad

Parking takes some planning if you arrive by car, since there’s no garage. You can use either of two public car parks: the one beneath the town square is expensive, while the cheaper one is two to three blocks north under a public park. Handling luggage there is a chore, so if someone is with you, it’s easier to stop briefly at Villa Soledad to unload first. The place itself was great for us, with clean, spacious rooms, a refrigerator, and excellent service. It’s very close to the Torrejon Plaza Major ir the Heart of Torrejon, with shops all around and several public transport options. The price is reasonable compared with other places, and we’d like to return.

The room was a good size, and the bathroom was much better than at our previous place. There was dust all over, including on the headboard and air conditioner, and the next morning we spotted a piece of broken glass right under the bed where we stand. It wasn’t ours. Even with that, we’d recommend the place.

For 35€/person, it was great value. The room, toilet, and service were good, and we had a very good experience. We could park for free near the main door. The bar next door has some breakfast deals.

Nathaniel at reception was a big help. He came with us to get our car back to the hotel, then did the same again in the morning because the roads around there are confusing. The place was clean and quiet, and it has a bathtub. Finding it by car is difficult, especially parking, since many roads are one way and you can get lost if you don’t know the area. The beds squeaked whenever you turned over.
