Sueños de Monfrague

The owners were always on hand and paid close attention to what we needed. They even provided everything for breakfast, and there were binoculars to take along for a park visit. The apartment was spotless, newly done, and decorated with care. With two adults and two children, we all felt very comfortable.

The owner even offered a bed and food and water bowls for our two small dogs. She really had things covered. In the village we found several shops for anything we needed, along with bars where you can get lunch or dinner without driving. The organized trips in Monfragüe are well worth it. We went with Birding Naturaleza, and the girls and I were amazed by what we could see through the binoculars. Enjoy! The little house is clean and sits right by the village's main street, opposite Plaza Mayor. It can sleep five, but I'd suggest three or four at most. There's just one wardrobe, so fitting everyone's clothes and suitcases would be hard, especially in winter. The kitchen has enough utensils, as well as a coffee maker and toaster, which matter to us at breakfast. The white sheets were spotless, and there were several separate pillows, nice since everyone likes something different. The new sofa is comfortable as a bed, but it needs folding up each morning or the living room gets too crowded.

Everything was clean and new, and the location worked really well for Monfrague Park. We got there early and checking in was no problem. The owner was friendly and attentive, and brought over fresh muffins from the bakery. There was no rush when it was time to leave. I'd recommend it.

A very pleasant apartment in a peaceful, comfortable village. The Salto del Gitano (Gypsy's Leap) is only 10 minutes away.
