Imperial Apartment

The apartment itself was bright, roomy, clean on arrival, well equipped, and close to plenty of amenities. But our stay ended early after we found a serious bedbug infestation in both bedrooms. My three children and I developed painful, itchy bites and welts across our arms, backs, shoulders, and legs. It was deeply distressing, expensive, and affected my sleep and mental health. The owner eventually agreed to refund the full booking. We were offered one night elsewhere and told to return 12 hours after fumigation. We were also told woodworm fumigation had taken place before we arrived. We left as soon as we could and never went back. I wouldn't want another family, especially one with young children, to go through this. It ruined our holiday. A few practical details from before the infestation: parking on the street was scarce, especially at weekends, so it would have been better to reserve a space with the host ahead of time. We tried after arriving, but it was already booked. Finding and arranging a private space took us just under a week. There was also evening noise from a bar or restaurant in the plaza, audible mostly in the main bedroom until closing. Given the central location and summer season, that wasn't surprising, but it's worth knowing. I had booked for a month and was initially pleased by how clean the place looked.
