Torremolinos 1ª linea playa

A pleasant complex within easy reach of the beach and town.

I liked my stay and would consider coming back. The communal area is pleasant and well kept, with panoramic views across both of Torremolinos' beaches. The beach is reached by lift and stairs, and the pool was cold, though it felt refreshing after my long morning walk. I was there in mid April, before the tourist season really got going, so it was very quiet, which suited me. My ground floor balcony looked out to sea and felt very private; losing some of the vegetation on the cliff might make it easier to watch people go by. The complex is about a five minute walk from town and convenient for the beaches. I didn’t try the cafe or small shop because they were open only briefly during the day, probably because it was early in the season and there weren’t many guests. Sorry about the poor photos, I picked the one dull day to take them.

I loved having direct access from the building to the promenade and the big terrace, with its table and sunbeds. The view over carihuela beach was fantastic, and I doubt another building in Torremolinos has a better one. The flat was small, with two bedrooms, but comfortable enough for our family of three for a month. The kitchen had everything we needed and I really liked its layout. One bedroom had no window; the other had an incredible view of the promenade. The furniture looked modern in the pictures, though in person it was low quality ikea furniture with lots of scratches, and the flat looked much less spacious than it did online. There was sand on all our electronic items, the price of being on the first line, and a deep clean was needed afterward. We rented it through Airbnb as temporary accommodation for March 2021. The building was almost empty, but finding a space in the covered parking was already quite a challenge. I can’t imagine how hard it gets in summer, especially if you’re not Spanish and have to handle such a narrow parking space. The building itself isn’t very new and needs renovation in places. It was great to stay there, but very expensive: we paid a bit over 2000 euro for a month in the dead month of March, in the middle of the pandemic. Luckily the company covered it for us. Otherwise, it would have been too expensive. I saw the same flat on airbnb for 7500 euro in August. That’s a ripoff.
