Hotel Al Andalus

The village location is the big plus: restaurants and bars are just steps away, and the summer price was reasonable. We’ve stayed twice, and both times the late arrival setup worked smoothly, with the code sent on WhatsApp and the key left in the door. Breakfast was plain, though at 6 quid I wasn’t expecting much. The rooms are basic, with only a tiny sachet of shampoo and shower gel. In this old building in the middle of the village, street noise carries unless your room faces the mountain. I’d come back, and would rate it 4 out of 5.

The balcony view was the only good part of our three days in room 01. The air conditioning and TV didn’t work, and my mother and I had a miserable stay. The room was full of fleas, and the cleaning seemed only for show. Breakfast items tasted out of date. We got check-in instructions by WhatsApp, but there was never anyone at reception.

The town itself was lovely, with lots of tourist attractions, friendly locals, good food and a great Spanish atmosphere. The hotel was close to the main plaza, with a lovely view over the street. Our room and beds were clean and comfortable, and everyone was kind and helpful. I loved staying in this authentic Spanish place. I’ll learn some Spanish before my next trip, because I’ll definitely be back.

My room had amazing views over the hillside, and the hotel was only minutes from the square. It was spotlessly clean, and the owner and staff were very friendly and helpful. Great value for money, and I’ll stay again.
