Rico Apartaments Ricosol

The apartment had everything we needed, including plenty of useful equipment and utensils. I was traveling with a baby, so having all of that on hand made things much easier. The rooms were spacious and the wardrobes were handy, and the beach was close by. We also spent time on the lovely terrace, with its great views and space for barbecues. The jacuzzi water was dirty, though. In summer, only the living room had air conditioning, and the ceiling fans didn't keep the bedrooms cool enough at night. Opening the windows brought in traffic noise that kept us awake.

The apartment's jacuzzi was a nice way to unwind, and there was parking. Everything you need is provided, and the apartments are well equipped. Some of the facilities are starting to look dated, though. I'd replace the pillows, since they're very worn and have no foam.

Nerja itself is truly beautiful, but our stay was deeply frustrating, and I won't return to this apartment. The beach is sand and pebbles, not fine sand. The construction right beside our window involved rock breaking, and the only answer the landlord gave us was to pack up and leave. He could have offered some other solution, or avoided renting the apartment during the worst of the work. The construction is directly against the building's wall, where another building is apparently planned, presumably to increase profits. The price hadn't been reduced by even a penny. The landlord's reply to my review is why I'm adding this. He may have replaced the fans since then, but the ones in our bedrooms were noisy. The garage ramp was slippery, the area had very noisy construction, and the apartment was beside a busy road. Our vacation was far from enjoyable because of the place we chose. I don't think the landlord gets to dictate how we spend our vacation by saying we should stay at the beach all day. We only wanted some peace and the freedom to relax either at the beach or in the apartment. We never disrespected him, and we had no financial interest in this. Some family members were involved, which doesn't make our account less credible, and others outside our group were affected too.

We had a great stay. The apartment was clean and roomy, with excellent facilities, and the beach was nearby. The terrace was the highlight, with sea views, a jacuzzi, barbecue, sun loungers, and tables and chairs.
