The location is lovely for relaxing and enjoying nature, though the room looked onto a patio where they keep beer crates, so the view wasn’t good. Breakfast was limited to toast with tomato or jam. We called a few days ahead to check when dinner started and were told 9:00 PM. But when we arrived, the man there said they weren’t serving dinner because it was too crowded. He was very friendly, but we’d hoped for a quiet meal and a break from the car, so it was a big disappointment that nobody told us the restaurant wouldn’t be open. The surroundings are beautiful, though the outside of the hotel looks a little neglected.

There was no heating or hot water, and clearly not enough staff. The people who helped us were very nice, so I don’t blame them. I’m used to bivouacking, but I’ve never been so cold in a room. I slept wearing a hat, a thermal shirt, and a Primaloft. That was the most expensive bivouac of my life. We were a group of 25 and had booked weeks in advance, so the owner could have checked that everything was working. I wouldn’t recommend it.

Ana was a wonderful host, always paying attention to what we needed. The place is really clean and beautiful, and we had a relaxing break from the city and everyday noise. One thing for other travelers: the road in is unpaved, so be careful if you don’t have a large car. We also recommend bringing snacks and other things along, since only breakfast and dinner are served there.

Ana has made us feel so welcome. She’s kind, friendly, always smiling, and takes such lovely care of us. We’ve been here three days and are loving the stay. It’s peaceful among the holm oaks, and at dusk you can easily see animals roaming freely. I’m really glad we met her. Thank you so much!

The staff were really pleasant and gave us helpful suggestions for where to eat and what to see. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and being surrounded by nature makes it a great place to get away from city noise. For anyone coming later, the location on Google Maps is wrong. Search for Arroyo Guazalamanco to get there without trouble.
