GHT Sa Riera Hotel

We stayed in room 308 from 09/06/25 to 15/06/25. At first I wasn’t happy with the view, but honestly it worked out fine for us. My one complaint was the lack of a kettle. I’m a coffee-on-the-balcony kind of gal 🤣 The hotel was lovely and very clean, with a cleaner coming every day. Everyone we met on staff was friendly and helpful. The dining room man was always chatty and nice to everyone, and so were all the ladies. There was lots of fresh food and plenty of choice, so even picky eaters should find something. The hotel bar prices were good too. The adults-only pool on the roof terrace was fab for us without kids this time, though the main pool was great as well. We’re already looking at next year.

The room was at the back, with a deck, and was nicely equipped, though there wasn’t much storage for two. The open shower area was awkward, and the setup with two doubles pushed together took some of the romance out of the trip 🤨 The room safe also cost extra, which felt a bit cheap. The hotel pool and its service were good. The restaurant food was okay, but the fresh-cooked station needed more than one chef who seemed able to cook just one meal at a time. It’s a 10-minute stroll to the beach through the shopping district.

Most staff were kind and helpful, especially in the bar and restaurant, and the reception team were friendly too apart from Ms. Nastia. Her manner felt rude and unhelpful, and making faces while speaking with guests is inappropriate. Having to show the room card with meal information every time was annoying. Our room wasn’t properly cleaned during our six-day stay. It wasn’t vacuumed, the bedding wasn’t changed, and we had to ask for fresh towels. The bathroom isn’t really separated from the room, and the shower was quite dirty, with moldy grout. Cleanliness needs improvement. The bottom of the so-called large pool was very slippery. Downstairs, the jacuzzi was rusty and neglected.

The beach was only about a five-minute walk away, so we skipped the pool. It looked dated, and its cleaning system really needed better upkeep. The food was very good, though busy periods in the dining room were less pleasant because the queues seemed disorganized. The hotel has a very modern style, which may not be to everyone’s taste, but we thoroughly enjoyed it.
