I chose this hotel because it was close to downtown Bilbao, but left before the three days I’d planned to stay. It’s in an industrial park, above a gas station and auto repair shop. People were smoking at the entrance as I walked in to check in, and the auto shop smell was strong at reception. I hoped the room would be better, but the corridor reeked of overpowering fragrance meant to cover that smell. The room was very small, with a desk, chair, and a double bed as hard as a park bench. Industrial trucks were noisy outside the window, and the neighborhood dog kept barking. I thought it might quiet down later, but it didn’t. I found a much nicer hotel by the town square in Plentzia, just north of Bilbao, which I highly recommend.

The restaurant is great value, with lunch and dinner menus at amazing prices. The food is good, and wine and soda are included. I’ll definitely come back next time I’m in the area.

The beds were really comfortable, and both the food and its prices were great. The hotel itself is simple but spotless. The staff we met were excellent and made our stay really good.

Starting check-in at 12 pm was really convenient. The mattress and pillow were good, there was free indoor parking, the aircon was quiet, and the water didn’t smell of chlorine, which is unusual for Spain. Our room faced south towards a truck gas station, so opening the window wasn’t possible. The trucks left their engines running the whole time, and it was noisy even with the windows closed on Thursday. Luckily, the facility was closed Fri, Sat, and Sun, so it was very quiet then. The shower pressure was low.
