We especially liked the flavorful paella at Hostalet. The terrace has a lovely view and a cozy feel, and the service was friendly and attentive. We had a lovely meal and would recommend the restaurant to anyone visiting Tossa de mar.

It was a real shame and made our evening very unpleasant. I ordered my hamburger without cheese, but it arrived with cheese. I asked for it to be changed because I’m intolerant to milk. The woman who took the order angrily said I hadn’t told her and looked at me rudely. I’m sure I ordered it without cheese.

Bianca and Juan were lovely and made our stay fun. The food was amazing and very well priced. The rooms are simple, and the dining courtyard is fantastic. The place is right by the church, in a great spot in town, two minutes from the beach and five minutes from the bus station.

The setting is lovely, right on the square in front of the old church, and I’d give the location a 5. For food, more like a 3.5. Nothing was bad, and everything else was great, but the bar is set high in Tossa and the calamari a la romana had a bit too much batter.

The staff were friendly and welcoming, and what food we got was tasty. The portions were really meagre for the price, though: tiny patatas bravas and just a little slice of tortilla. They also don’t have high chairs for children.
