This place is around five hundred years old, and the way it mixes history with modern touches works really well. It’s friendly and unbelievably quiet, with an amazing setting. Just don’t expect lap-of-luxury comforts, that’s not what it’s about.
A great host and really good service made this an easy place to recommend. It’s lovely for a peaceful, relaxing break.
I stayed here years ago and still remember how much I loved it. It’s right in the middle of a farm, so it’s a great spot if you want some peace and quiet. We went in winter and the weather wasn’t very good, but we were warm and comfortable.
We really liked exploring the area during our stay, especially Cathedral Beach near Ribadeo. The service was excellent, and the beautiful surroundings made the manor house a wonderful place for a couple or a family. We hope to come back soon.
Bring a car if you want to see the nearby villages, where there’s more culture to explore. The village where the manor house is located doesn’t have much to see, though there are places to eat other meals just a five-minute drive away. The house itself only serves breakfast. It sits on a large country estate, mostly growing wheat, with cattle and a few horses, in a lovely natural setting with excellent hiking trails. The rooms are medium-sized and have what you need for a comfortable night. A great place for a holiday.
