A simple, good place to sleep, with the essentials. It also works well as a starting point for hunting or trekking nearby.

We'd happily return. The owners were so friendly, the rooms roomy, and the location made it easy to explore the lovely Merindades region of Burgos. Breakfast was fantastic too, and we loved our stay.

We had a really comfortable four days, and the service from Rosa and Ángel was impeccable. They were attentive, and the area is wonderfully quiet and relaxing. The split-level room was less comfortable, though: the floorboards creaked with every step, which made me worry about disturbing people, and cobwebs across the ceiling made me squeamish. Breakfast was carefully prepared and decent, but since I don't eat jam or butter, it would be nice to have options like fruit, cheese, or ham for diabetics and others. Just a suggestion. Rosa and Ángel are incredibly kind and helpful, and they give great tips on places to see nearby. The hotel is kept immaculate. There are only five rooms, and I'd rate the place 10 out of 5 if they'd let me.

The owners were very friendly and helpful, and we got a warm welcome. The rooms have a country-house feel, but December was chilly, especially after a shower. Shame the fireplace wasn't lit.
