You’ll need a car to reach this quiet little oasis, up a steep lane and a short drive from Malaga. The self-catering apartments sit high on the mountain, with spectacular views and a lovely pool. Clean, calm, and peaceful.

The owners were so friendly, and the little apartment was lovely, with a mini kitchen. The pool was super clean too. It’s quite a walk from the nearest town, so bring your own food. We ordered from a local restaurant that delivers one night, which worked out well.

Breakfast was delicious, made by the host with local produce, and changed each day. The hosts also knew the region well and had suggestions for places to visit. We slept really well every night in the comfortable bed. It’s a peaceful, relaxing property with a beautiful pool and fabulous mountain views. Brilliant place, we had a fabulous holiday.

Casa Bambu feels wonderfully secluded, though shops, restaurants, and bars are only a 5-10 minute drive away. We mostly stocked up and enjoyed staying in such a beautiful spot. The pool and terraces are kept in great shape. Since it feels more like a home away from home or AirBnB than a hotel, guests are expected to help keep shared areas tidy, clean, and peaceful. That’s part of why it’s such good value: you get a 5* setting, but not someone waiting on you, which is completely understandable. The hosts are lovely and communication is brilliant. They live on site, so they’re often around in person and always reachable via WhatsApp. We’d happily come back for another peaceful break.
