The location is very quiet, and the house itself is lovely. It stayed fairly cool indoors even during the day, and nights were really cool too. I did miss having air conditioning during the daytime, though there wasn't any when I stayed with friends. One day the owners came in with their keys without warning, saying they needed to clean the pool, even though we'd told them on our first day that it wasn't necessary. We were in the pool at the time, so it felt like an invasion of our privacy. They looked around as if they didn't trust us, made a bit of a fuss, and left. The pool wasn't cleaned afterward, and it was already crystal clear with a filter system. I've also read that they cancel bookings readily if a chance comes up to rent for more days. Keep that in mind, because in my experience their word can't be relied on.

We'd stayed at the house for Christmas from 2021 through 2024, and our family loved getting together there. The town is beautiful, with its waterfalls and the wonderful Nativity scene that fills the river every Christmas. The scholar Don Camilo José Cela even praised it in his wonderful work "Journey to Alcarria." So when we got in touch about coming back for Christmas for a fifth year in a row, they said they'd forgotten and had already rented the house out. I don't buy that explanation. It felt more like they'd taken a higher offer, and at the very least they should have contacted us, since we were regular, loyal customers every Christmas. The house is quite nice, but the owners are informal and have no ethics. A zero for ethical values.

There were 10 of us in the family last weekend, and everything was spotless. The garden was a 10/10, and Julio, the host and gardener, deserves a special mention. The house is beautiful and very well located. The town and the area around it are lovely too. Highly, highly recommended.

Julio, the owner, was friendly and incredibly attentive. We had a relaxing family weekend, and the village and surrounding area were stunning. The house was in great shape too, with a spectacular grounds, comfortable beds, and new bathrooms that were spotless and clean. Highly recommended for a quiet getaway. Thanks for everything.

We had a fantastic family stay and never lacked for anything. The house was clean and very well looked after, and Mercedes and Julio were so attentive. The pool was great fun for the adults and kids alike. It's in a really quiet village. We have nothing but good things to say. Thank you!
