Apartamentos Tinamayor

We were disappointed by the apartment’s condition, even though its location is convenient for seeing Cantabria. After collecting the keys, we weren’t shown around. Inside, there were dead flies in the living room and bathroom, hair in the bathroom, and dirty windows and blinds. The cleanliness left a lot to be desired, and the black sheets were appalling in light of the state of the place. The mattresses looked almost new, but the springs dug into us. The coffee maker’s water tank had mold, and there wasn’t a toaster. Every room had a radiator, but turning them all on kept tripping the power, even though the apartment was freezing.

We had a good summer stay, and the transport links made it easy to visit Asturias and Cantabria. The apartments were pretty good, and reception staff were great. Our apartment was in the central area, facing terraces on the first floors, and there was construction going on that made noise early in the morning. I suppose that can happen. We did have a problem, but Carlos fixed it very quickly. I recommend the place.

Parking is right by the entrance, which was handy. The apartment had the sheets, towels, dishes, cutlery and other basics, and was clean apart from a few cobwebs. A couple of things needed fixing, including the broken terrace door that we couldn’t use. There are some decent bars and restaurants for dinner, but the area and town don’t offer much to see. For things to do, you’ll need to head to one of the bigger nearby towns.

We came back to stay here for a second year, and would likely do it again. The apartments are clean, pleasant, and well looked after, with friendly service and good value. It’s a useful spot between Cantabria and Asturias, with beaches and mountains nearby. Dogs are allowed, too.
