Bubaqia House

The Junior Suite itself was great: spacious, very clean, and with a handy kitchenette. We could control the A/C and close the shades against the hot sun, and the location was good. If the service had matched the room, this would probably have been a five-star stay. We were there for two nights in early October. Our Renfe train from Cordoba was delayed, so we arrived a few hours later than planned. The person at the desk greeted us rudely and made it sound as if our lateness had inconvenienced them all day, as though we could control the trains. After being shown to the room, we didn’t see another staff member onsite during our stay. It’s a boutique hotel, but it seemed we’d have been out of luck if we’d needed help in an emergency or wanted extra toiletries or linens. We also tried calling and leaving a voicemail, then sent a Whatsapp message to ask about late checkout on departure day. Nobody responded, so we put our bags in a luggage locker in town instead. A strange experience, being scolded for arriving late and then seeing no staff for two days.

As someone local to Granada, I was pleasantly surprised to find this lovely place. Our Junior Suite was just right, and it’s only a short walk from the city center and close to Puerta Real parking. The decor is beautiful, with lots of care put into the details. Service was outstanding, and they were helpful even when we arrived late at night. We’ll be back for sure.

I’ve never felt so welcome on my travels. Javier and Fernando greeted us so warmly and helped us throughout our time in Granada. The Grande Suite felt like home, with its own bedroom and bathroom, and it was wonderfully luxurious. The room looked exactly like the photos online. You can see how much care and hard work Javier and Fernando have put into the beauty of the property. We stayed just two nights, but I’ve promised myself I’ll return. This was easily the best hotel experience I’ve ever had.

There are plenty of cheaper hotels nearby that offer better service. Javier seemed more interested in arguing than finding a solution, though we still got a call at the end asking how the stay had gone. The parking cost was a problem. They urged us to book through them, saying they had an arrangement that suggested a discount or extra service. The parking manager warned us, but by then it was too late. The same parking costs around EUR 12, but they charged EUR 25 and insisted on handling the booking. They said the difference was a service fee. There was no hand soap in the room. Javier said they do not work with hand soap, even though there was some in the lobby bathroom, so we had to use shampoo for everything. The curtains also didn’t block out the light.
