Villa Otivar - Rio Verde

The lounge looking out across the valley was a perfect place for morning coffee, and breakfast was great before we headed off. We came by bicycle and Paula and Dave got us settled without a hitch. They were lovely, relaxed hosts who knew the area well. Our room at Villa Otivar was modern and thoughtfully furnished, and the bed was so comfortable. The rooftop bar made for a fun evening. We only wish we'd stayed a few more days, there's so much left to explore. Highly recommend.

We stayed at Villa Otivar for three nights in October 2024 for a family wedding nearby, and can't wait to come back, especially for a ride in the TukTuk. The spacious rooms were very comfortable, and the upper ones have nice balconies over a quiet, pleasant street. From the rooftop terrace, we could see the mountains and valleys all around, and there's a G&T bar up there too. Breakfast was plentiful with plenty of variety. Dave and Paula made sure we had what we needed, including help with transport and backup plans when the storm hit. I can't thank Dave enough for helping me on departure morning and making me laugh when I was feeling stressed. Their BnB is excellent, and I wouldn't fault Villa Otivar. Dave and Paula were a delight and made sure we were comfortable. The rooms at Villa Otivar are beautiful, with modern touches alongside local Spanish style, and the beds are incredibly comfortable. The bathrooms felt like heaven. In the evening we went up to the rooftop bar, where the atmosphere was great, with a gorgeous mountain view and the best tapas I've had in Spain. I'd highly recommend staying here in or near Otivar. We'll definitely be back!

Paula and Dave know the area around Villa Otívar well and took time to share what they know. They're kind and helpful, and when an unexpected personal matter came up during my stay, they went above and beyond to help. I'm very grateful. Their care shows in the clean, well-kept hotel, the lovely decor, and the delicious food and drinks, including gluten free options. It's fantastic value for money, too. My room was gorgeous and thoughtfully designed, with a comfortable bed and air con that helped me sleep like a baby. The window had a stunning view, but after busy days out, the room was also a peaceful place to switch off. Villa Otívar sits in a stunning rural setting, already booked again and can't wait to return.
