The room was really big and clean, and the staff were very friendly. Good location, with a large bar downstairs that serves breakfast.

Hotel Canal in Unquera worked perfectly as my base for a classic motorcycle rally in Colombres. There was plenty of parking for the bikes right outside, and restaurants and shops were close by.

An old hotel, but cozy, clean, quiet, and spacious. The staff were welcoming. Breakfast was very basic, though decent.

The only thing I liked was the hot shower and decent bathroom. The receptionist was unfriendly and unwelcoming, as if doing her job was a favor, and she didn’t speak English. She also served breakfast, which was stale and awful. What a joke of a place. How is this old, poorly kept building even open? Don’t waste your time!

I just walked in and paid 32 euros for a single room. It had everything, including a bathtub, hair dryer, and two radiators. It was spectacularly clean and didn’t smell at all. I kept comparing places with this hotel as I continued along my Camino del Norte journey, and missed it so much.
