Clear, deep water and a spacious pool make for a lovely visit, with the ocean and rugged coast adding beautiful views. There’s a restaurant nearby too. When we came, it was cool and overcast, but a few people still took a swim. I can imagine it gets busy on warmer days. Getting there is part of the experience. GPS takes you to a large parking area, and the drive runs through banana plantations in every direction. At a small fork, follow the signs left for the pools, or carry straight on to a short promenade above the sea. That walk is peaceful and pleasant, though the banana fields are all around there too. The pool is just a short walk downhill. Like many spots in the Canaries, it combines natural rock with steps and paved paths that fit into the landscape. Well worth stopping by.

The setting is beautiful, though it was closed when we went because of the big waves.
We had a really nice time here on a weekday in early October, arriving around noon. It wasn't busy, and there was plenty of room beneath the umbrellas. There's a café and restaurant, plus a separate pool for children. The showers weren't working during our visit, which was the one downside.
The water keeps flowing in from the sea, so it gets refreshed often, which is a real plus. It's a lovely natural pool area with restrooms, changing rooms, and a small restaurant. Since it's on the modest side, it can fill up quickly, but that says a lot about how popular it is. Definitely worth spending a couple of hours here.
The water was warm and crystal clear today, and the pools felt peaceful with lovely sea views and few people around. You can see Tenerife and La Gomera clearly. The lava rock pools are very pretty, and there are steps into both the swimming pools and the sea. Entry is free. There’s a shallow pool for younger children, as well as changing huts, toilets, bins, outdoor showers, parasols, cycle racks, and a café. Parking is available up by the road, where you can look down over the pools, or lower down by the Rum Distillery. There are lots of steps on the way down, though the other end has a sloped route that's longer and may suit a pram or someone with mobility issues better. Keep going along the paved path and you'll pass more lava rocks beneath the banana plantations, with waves washing over them. We saw big and small crabs sunning themselves, though they quickly disappear if you get too close, along with lots of lizards and parrots. The path ends, so you have to turn around, but it's well worth the walk. Signs say dogs aren't allowed.
