La Casona de Molleda

There are seven parking spaces inside and three outside, with more parking available nearby, and the property is well signposted. This is a beautifully restored historic house, built by returning emigrants, and it's lovely both inside and out. The only downsides for us were the lack of a kitchen and an elevator.

The manager helped us out in an emergency, which we really appreciated. The room had two areas, a fridge, and a microwave, with decent furniture and a good bathroom. It's a lovely Indian house in a quiet village with no services, though Unquera has them and is one minute away by car or also reachable on foot.

You wake up to cows grazing in the mountains, and the inn feels like stepping back in time. Our room was like a small apartment, with space for more than two people. The place is elegant, clean, and beautiful, and breakfast was delicious. It's close to the coast, caves, the Picos de Europa mountains, and Potes.

I called to ask whether they had a room available and the man who answered was extremely rude. He told me they had nothing, although I could see three rooms listed on Airbnb. When I tried to ask when something might be available, he suddenly hung up.
