Hotel Beleret

Honestly, terrible. The staff were really nice at check-in, but nobody told me that the water would be shut off from 11 a.m. I woke up at 10:30 and only then found out. Why would I book a hotel with no running water, and why didn’t they mention it when I arrived? It was 32 degrees in Valencia. I couldn’t shower and had to buy bottled water just to brush my teeth. Never again. I asked for my money back and they said no. Disgusting. The shower was blocked, there was no running water, and the hairdryers were dirty. Terrible.

The location worked for us because it was close to Paterna and the Valencia Sports City, and there was a bus stop right outside with regular service. Parking was relatively easy, and there was a cute nearby park plus a nice area down the street for walking and biking. The staff were polite. We had two rooms, one family size and one standard, but almost everything else was below average or terrible. The safes didn’t work. One refrigerator was broken and the other was only cool. The air conditioning failed in one room and worked okay in the other. All the vents had dust and some mold, the shower heads were poorly maintained, and water leaked everywhere. The hallway carpets were gross and stained, the elevators were awful, and breakfast was very blah and not worth the cost. Cheap, but not worth the savings. We’d never stay again. If you can, spend the extra 50€ a night for a better place.

The towels are another daily problem: we have to go downstairs and ask for clean ones ourselves, and even then there still aren't enough. We've been here a week, asking reception every day to have the floor cleaned, but we're still sleeping in dirt. The cleaners also leave used bed linen around and sometimes forget their supplies in our room. If dust bothers you, I'd avoid this place.

There's a lobby bar, plus table football and a pool table in the lobby. The rooms are solid, and the metro is very close.
