Cosy Rooms Tapinería

Great location, and decent for the money, as long as you don’t expect much. My room was clean and had a decent queen-size bed, a desk with no chair, a wardrobe with no shelf, and a basic bathroom. Fine for a few days, nothing fancy. The staff were decent. The door was always open, which was convenient but made it feel a bit insecure. There’s nowhere to leave luggage after checkout, so it stays in the hallway. I used Bounce and left mine in a properly secured shop.

The location is unbeatable. The room was tiny and had no frills, just a bed and a small desk, but it was super clean and fine if all you need is a place to sleep. The bathroom was new and very good, and there was lots of storage. The housekeeper was lovely. Noise from neighbors can be an issue, though I couldn’t hear street noise from my back room. The wifi didn’t work during my stay, which completely changed the experience. I work with videocassette which are private, so I couldn’t accept their offer to work on the ground floor. Without the wifi problem, it would’ve been a great stay.

The location is the one thing this hotel has going for it, right in the centre. The room photos gave us a very different idea of what to expect. In the first room, the toilet was separated from the bedroom by just a curtain, and the shower was right beside the bed. We asked to move and were able to do so without any argument, but the next room wasn't much better. Its bathroom was separate, though cleanliness was really poor: the bedroom floor was dirty, and there were stains we couldn't identify on the closets and nightstands. We cancelled our stay and found another hotel. That turned out to be the best decision.

The location is good, but pretty much everything else was awful. Things were worn out or simply didn't work. In room 301, noise from upstairs went on until 4 in the morning and started again after 7, so don't expect much sleep there. Other reviews mention the concrete bath, which seems to be a normal feature. I'd look for a better hotel, even if it's a little less well located.
