There are two large supermarkets close by, and plenty of good spots for food and drinks, so I didn’t try the hotel restaurant. The area is pleasant and walkable, with excellent public transport links. My room was spacious and comfortable, and the staff were polite and professional. Having staff who spoke both Spanish and English was really convenient.

The staff were pleasant, but there weren’t many of them, and service was very poor. The room wasn’t ready when we arrived and went uncleaned on two days. Bar service was very slow, and the food there was poor. I couldn’t tell whether the chicken burger was chicken or fish. Breakfast was below par too. The laminate flooring in the rooms was coming up.

The location beside Gulliver Park and several main bus lines worked really well. We stayed several days and were very happy with the clean room and its good condition. The rooftop pool was refreshing, though the whole thing was about 1.6m deep with no shallow end, which wasn’t ideal for kids or shorter adults. Maybe they could add one in a future renovation. Breakfast was hearty, and the evening meal offered a choice of excellent dishes across three courses, with the menu changing daily. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and everyone was lovely with the kids, especially the cleaners, front desk, and restaurant teams. Jose Luis in the restaurant stood out as especially helpful and friendly. We did hear our neighbors and the water pipes from upstairs through the walls more than we’d have liked.

The location is handy for the city of arts & sciences, open-top bus tours, and lots of places to visit. Breakfast was hot, with a wide range to choose from, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms feel rather tired, though they were spotlessly clean. On the first night our safe wouldn’t work, so we told reception. The maintenance man arrived within ten minutes and replaced the whole safe without asking questions. A bathroom extractor fan rattled throughout our stay, but we never reported it because it didn’t bother us enough.
