The apartments were never used, so they didn't even need to be cleaned, yet Flatsforyou kept €1,600 of our €1,674 booking payment. We had reserved Bonaire apartments for a friends' weekend starting March 13, 2020, which turned out to be the weekend Spain declared a State of Emergency. Following the law and government guidance, we couldn't travel from Barcelona to Valencia, so we had to cancel. Nine months later, the company still wouldn't refund us. They argued that we could have made the trip during the emergency, in the middle of a pandemic. Keeping our money in those circumstances, when we couldn't travel, says a lot about their ethics and social responsibility. They came across as deeply unprofessional and showed little respect for people. I wouldn't rent from them if you don't want to support a business that acts this way.

We spent ages on the phone trying to sort out our €1,600 booking. With the pandemic and government advice, our group of friends wanted either to move the dates or cancel, but they wouldn't offer any flexibility at first. Eventually, after a lot of chasing, they agreed to change the dates, but wanted an exorbitant extra charge. If anything goes wrong, don't expect customer service. I can't recommend this apartment chain.

They brought us a duvet on our first night even though it was already late, which was really professional service. The apartment was impeccably clean and very well equipped. It's also in an excellent spot close to a tourist office.

It's a poisoned chalice. In the reviews, it sounds like others have run into this too: during peak season or a long weekend, they'll push you to cancel a reservation made months earlier so they can get more money, and leave you stranded.

The courtyard-facing apartments are a nightmare. A Chinese woman lives on the first floor of the next building. When she's not shouting, she leaves her dog locked in the courtyard or clatters around in high heels at 7 a.m. I've never experienced anything like it.
