The apartment was spacious enough, but pretty sparsely equipped, with almost nowhere to put things. There were only six hangers, four small drawers, no hooks, and the wardrobe door wouldn't stay shut. Even the cramped shower had nowhere for bottles, and the place smelled bad the whole time. For what we got, it cost too much. The location was good, near tram and metro stops and not too far from the beach.

We got a decent rate for two adults and three kids, and there were enough amenities. Public transport was plentiful and the location was great. The en suite shower is the big frustration: you have to squeeze past the toilet to get in, and unless you take the shower head off and point it at the inside wall, water floods the bathroom.

There's a strange damp smell in the living room, and the kitchen could use more equipment. The bathroom was missing a toilet brush, and the terrace would be nicer if at least part of it had a cover. The house is well placed, within walking distance of the marina and beach. When we arrived, the glass in the terrace door was out.

The owners were no help, and most of the time they wouldn't even answer the phone. Inside, the flat was cramped, gloomy, and furnished as cheaply as possible. Each morning, drills from the construction site right outside the bedroom window woke us up. There's only a thin wall between the site and the bedroom. The photos make the terrace look appealing, but a huge building site hangs over it. It's noisy, dirty, and ugly, nowhere you'd want to sit. A thoroughly miserable place for a holiday.
