8/10
The rooms are very clean, the beds are cozy, the bathrooms have enough space, and the new AC works perfectly. The people working there were friendly and helpful, and English wasn't a problem. We were satisfied overall, especially with a great park and the seaside just a few minutes' walk away. But the area between the two blocks isn't great, and it's very noisy. People shout in the street at night after coming from the restaurants, a dog in another building barks constantly, and the thin walls let you hear everything the neighbors say and do, including sex, which isn't pleasant for kids. The doors, or whatever is connected to the restaurant closing, are also loud enough to scare a pet.

Pets being welcome is a plus, and thankfully the air conditioning worked fine. Our room was clean, as others have said, but very basic and had no window. I'd call this a one-star place, though it doesn't promise to be anything more.

2/10
The staff were incredibly unfriendly, and nobody spoke English, including the owner. There was dust and cobwebs all over the place, plus damage to things like the lamps and bed. Look elsewhere if you can. It isn't worth a cent.

Convenient spot with good food and nice people, close to the seashore. Playa Pinedo is dog-friendly, and Playa El Saler is nearby too. Buses 24 and 25 go past, so it's easy to reach.

The room had a bad odor, especially in the bathroom, which is why I'm giving it two stars. The location is good, the reception guy was nice, and there's a fabulous restaurant next door.
