Hostal Tartessos

The room was roomy and very clean, and the host was friendly and spoke English. There's a bike rental next door, with a supermarket, good restaurants, the historic center, and the metro all close by. The metro goes directly to the airport. I'd definitely return.

The entrance to the building looks a bit rough, but upstairs on the second floor it's lovely, new, and clean. The private rooms are brand new, with huge comfy beds, strong WiFi, and friendly, helpful reception service. The location is amazing and central. Hostel prices with hotel quality and privacy, hard to beat.

This is good value and has great service from friendly staff. It's still run as a hostel for now, though it really ought to be a hotel and may be changed over before long. The location is fantastic, beside Plaza de Ayuntamiento and near lovely cafés like Kiró and Dulce de Leche. Lively area, ideal for young couples or friends.

Mario and Marisa, the owners, give the place a personal touch and take time to explain things. There's a hot water dispenser, plus tea and snacks in the lobby around the clock. The hostal is just 50 meters from the artistic Ayuntamiento Plaza, with theaters, cafés, restaurants with 'terrazas', and Valencia's main historic sights all within walking distance. Subway entrances are nearby, and the main train station is a few blocks away. The rooms are spacious, with large windows and lots of light in some of them. Don't let the building entrance put you off.
